6 years ago today

6 years ago today I became a mother. I'll take you back to that moment..:)

I had pre-term labor with Speed racer for about 4-6 weeks before my due date (June 4th), they had stopped it several times with medicines and bed rest. Well on Sunday afternoon I just could not get comfortable and thought "let's go back in, only to have them say no you're not ready yet" Well we went in Sunday evening pretty late I think around 10:00pm. They gave me some sleep meds and decided to start everything back up in the morning. So on May 20th at about 7:30 am Dr. Dupre came in and broke my water, because I was at 4cm already. He got up and said "Well I'll be back around dinner time and see if we are ready for a baby" Boy was he wrong! I then got the epidural and I remember getting ready to fall asleep and my mom and dad saying they were going to eat, my mom said "If you have this baby while were gone make sure they page us" (jokingly) Well sure enough about 9:00 am or so the nurse came in and woke me up to be checked. To her suprise and mine I was at 10cm and ready to push! Yes my parents made it back in time. So anyways Hayden was born at 9:48am. Two and a half hour labor isn't too bad huh? So at that time six years ago I was a mother. Hayden and his father share the same birthday as well. So Happy Birthday to David.

Speed Racer and I have been through a lot these past six years. I can honestly sit here and say that I think I have become a much better mother than I thought I would. He means everything to me, and believe it or not, I depend on Hayden probably about as much as he depends on me. I'm so thankful that he made me a mother. I just hate to see my "baby" grow up so fast! Last night I heard one of my favorite songs "You're gonna miss this" by Trace Adkins. I started to tear up listening to it. I do already miss it. I miss having my "baby" as a baby. I miss a lot of those little things. But on the other hand I'm thankful that he is no growing so well, and such a smart child. I'm thankful that he got my dad's genes in that part:)

Here are a few pictures enjoy!
