Well this is my Works-For-Me. The first one I have is the microdermabrasion from Avon I saw it when it first came out and thought what the heck, I'll try it. So I did, it was only $28.00, and I loved it. You use it every two days at night, for a total of about 8 weeks. Every two weeks
you up the level that you use. My skin felt so smooth and clean afterwards, and I have noticed that my dark spots are now lighter. I was satisifed with this. It was quick and easy and had good results.
My second Works For Me, is giving a baby medicine. monkey is on two meds three times a day, so needless to say we had to figure out a quick way to get these down. My husband actaully came up with the idea, and people are stunned that we thought of this. It's actually quite simple. And they even sell stuff similar in the stores, but why pay for it, when you already have everything to do it at home. Here it is, we take a bottle nipple, with or without ring is fine. Take a medicine dropper, fill up the dropper put it into the nipple, put the nipple in his mouth and it's done. He takes it all down quickly and easily. We tried the passy one where the medicine is measured in the bottom part of it, that did not work for us, because the medicine would get stuck in the wedges. That is not good when he only takes 1 ml, he needs every drop of it! So anyways hope these help!

Mama is the word....the first word
Well the title says it all. monkey's is now talking, and his first word is....MAMA! Saturday morning he started saying it on his own, now when asked to say "Mama", he does:) He will be seven months at the end of the month, and he is changing so much. He as I said is talking, he is attempting to crawl, in fact I think it will be very soon when he figures it all out. He is doing so well! His 6 month check up was yesterday and he weighs 16.7lbs, and he is 26 1/2 inches long. He is one inch shorter than Hayden was but .4 pounds heavier. I am so glad that he is doing so well they kept telling me at his birth, that he would be delayed in almost everything he did, and to treat him like a premature baby.....Boy were they wrong:) He is still such a happy smiley baby, and I love it!
princess and speed racer went to the dentist for their check up this morning, and they are doing great! They both got x-rays and cleanings and they are cavitiy free!! I am so proud of them both, they brush their own teeth every morning and every night, and they dont fuss about it a bit. At the dentist that they see I can not go back with them at all, they take the kids, then at the end while I am checking out, they tell me what is going on with their teeth. They both do so good with it and I'm glad. I had and still have major issues with dentist, well not issues, but fears. It takes a lot for me to go, and I don't want them to go through the same thing, so I am trying to start early and hopefully this will stick with them to take care of their teeth.
I am now called "Mom" by princess, she has decided to turn into a pre-teen (attitude wise) and she now says, "You know, Duh, Mom!!" it is so funny, but I do not like being called mom, it makes me feel like she is not my baby anymore, I still want her to call me momma, or mommie. She also now says "Whatever" and "What is ever!" too funny!
I went home to Alabama on March 8th through the 11th, and had a great time! I went home because my mom had her second hip replacemnt. It was a suprise to her, she had no idea I was coming! It was nice to see her reaction, I could not believe that I kept it from her. I'm not good at that sort of thing. But her surgery went good, and she is home now. She is not able to leave the house for six weeks, which upsets her because my sister is due anytime now. Her due date is April 1st, but she could really go at any point. So hopefully it will work out, and maybe mom will be able to go up.

Monkey watching daddy rock out to Guitar Hero 3
A close up of monkey's face watching daddy
This is princess after getting her foot stuck in the wipes container. It did not hurt her, it was just funny! Notice her beautiful dress? She wants to wear a dress everyday, so I let her wear one, we had no where to go, so I figured why not. Hope you enjoyed this and the videos, have a great weekend!

Works For Me Wednesday
I am going to start doing the "Works for me Wednesdays". This week we are supposed to blog with a question or topic that we are having a hard time with, so here it is.
My first question that I've had a hard time with, is what to do to get my kids to listen better? Speed Racer is 5, and Princess is 3. They are pretty good kids, but I need a better routine on how to handle the discipline issues that we may have. Speed Racer is very angry a lot lately, and I don't know why. He is very smart, and knows a lot more than most 5 year olds should. However, he is constantly having bad days at school. He hasn't gone a week in the past two months, with more than one good day. I know it's just kindergarten, but what can I do? We have tried, spanking, naughty mat time, no video games, no tv, nothing works! I'm stuck!! I need advice!!
My second is also with Speed Racer, I don't know if this is normal or not, but he is eating constantly!! He eats breakfast at home, then at school, we pack him a lunch and he eats all of it, then again a school lunch, and he eats the moment he walks in the door, he eats about 3-4 helpings of dinner nightly!! Is this normal? He is not overweight, and he is very heathly. I don't want to refuse him food, but what can I do?
Thanks!
